Tom Faubion

Over the last 40 years Tom has developed an outstanding reputation among local lawyers. Tom Faubion received the Peer Review “AV Preeminent” rating from Martindale-Hubble signifying the highest level of ethics and professional excellence. Tom was employed by the City of Eatonville as Municipal Court Judge. Tom began his legal career as an intern in 1975-1976 at this law firm, when Alliance Law Group was known as McCormick Hoffman Rees and Arnold P.S. The early partners immediately recognized his legal skills and tireless work effort and refused to let him go. Tom has been practicing with this group since he passed the bar examination in 1976. He became a partner in 1978 and has been part of the fabric of the law firm and a respected member of the Pierce County legal community ever since.

Clients love Tom’s bombastic style. According to Spartan legend, the parting cry to warriors heading into battle was “Come back with your shield or on it.” The meaning was simple: keep fighting or die trying. Tom represents his clients with the same passion and ferocity as a Spartan warrior. Tom often inspires other attorneys at the firm with his legends of past legal campaigns. Frequently you will hear Tom repeat the phrase “My client will have to hear it from the lips of a judge” signifying his fearless approach to every case.

Tom has led a varied and fulfilling life. Before starting his legal career he was a US Peace Corps Volunteer from 1965-1967 serving in Peru South America as a Specialist in Reforestation and Agrarian Reform. Tom was Captain of a Fish Tender for the New England Fish Company out of Ketchikan, Alaska from college through 1976. Even well into his 60s Tom was a volunteer fire officer near his home in East Pierce County throughout the four decades he practiced law. Tom has been actively involved in the development and maintenance of hundreds of miles of Washington trails around Mount Rainier and the surrounding Cascade range. He has personally logged several thousand hours working on trails and has coordinated the efforts of dozens of other volunteers for combined man-hours in the tens of thousands. He is an avid collector and certified instructor of vintage cross-cut saws. Perhaps one of Tom’s most satisfying achievements is his family. He has been happily married more than 44 years and his children and grandchildren keep him busy when he is not practicing law.
